Tax Partner
Job Description:
£170,000 – £200,000
Established 7-Partner Practice in the City has a requirement for a Tax Partner to drive growth by winning business and developing existing relationships; manage and co-coordinate client relationships and manage Tax engagements.
Other duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
· Overseeing the preparation and submission of the UK Corporation Tax computations
· Dealing with correspondence from the UK tax authorities, both Inland Revenue and HM Customs & Excise.
· Reviewing Controlled Foreign Companies legislation and assessing its implications
· Providing VAT advice and support
· Double Taxation Relief – underlying tax calculations – liaison with overseas subsidiaries and external advisers
· International transfer pricing – monitoring of company’s transfer pricing policy – ensuring that the necessary documentation is in place to ensure compliance with operating guidelines.
· Negotiation with the tax authorities in various jurisdictions regarding substantial refunds of VAT due to clients.
Essential Requirements
· You must be technically adept and capable of generating new business
· You must have strong business development and client management skills
· Experience of taxation services within public accounting
· Previous experience from a recognised practice
· You must have strong system skills including accountancy and tax systems
· Proven management/mentoring experience
· Solid business acumen and good skills in making day to day decisions
· You must be conversant with all current taxation issues
· Strong customer focused skills
