SPECIALIST PRACTITIONER (Social Worker; Psychologist; Psychotherapist; Counsellor)

Job Description:

My client is currently looking for a Specialist Practitioner to work within their specialist therapeutic residential service for children in south Manchester.

Joining their Clinical Team, you will be providing individual intervention work and supporting their integrated care, education and therapy programmes with young people.

Candidate requirements:

• A professional qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Psychotherapy, along with post graduate qualifications in a therapeutic approach.

• Registration as a qualified practitioner with the relevant professional body (or within 6-12 months of achieving this).

• Experience in applying therapeutic models of intervention in various settings.

• Knowledge and experience of the application of clinical risk assessment tools in the assessment and management of interpersonal aggression.

• Knowledge of the aetiology of sexually abusive and sexually aggressive behaviours in young people and the relevant risk management/risk resolution strategies.

• Proven abilities in the planning, delivery and monitoring of clinical programmes for young people and their families.

• Experience in producing high quality clinical reports.

• Experience of working effectively in mutli-disciplinary teams.
