Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (Duties)
• Develop client Winforms projects to a high level of quality and usability.
• Follow architectural best practices.
• Engage business systems team to ensure we are exceeding expectations.
• Follow and contribute to refinement of development processes, to ensure high product quality.
• Generate and maintain order from a chaotic industry.
• Re-factor and enhance legacy client applications.
• Input to extensions of our internal CRM application, EpiCentre.
• Provide input into team SDLC.
Knowledge and Skills required
• Previous experience in highly OO (object orientated programming) environment.
• Excellent communication skills essential. The successful candidate may be expected to attend client meetings.
• Excellent C# & VB.net.
• Excellent knowledge of the full Microsoft Development Stack (.net, WCF, IIS, SQL Server).
• Track record in working in an organised fashion in an environment with a high rate if change.
• Proven track record in ability to refactor legacy code and/or convert between languages.
• Exposure to MVP/MVC patterns advantageous.
• Knowledge of ADO.net and datasets advantageous for legacy purposes.
• Previous experience working to set processes in a changeable/ reactive environment.
