Senior Drupal Developer - London

at Brightlemon (Old Street, London) Freelance Friday, February 26th, 2010

Job Description:

Brightlemon is a digital agency who specialise in building online communities and social networks. We\’re currently searching for a superstar Drupal developer to join our team in central London. We\’re looking for someone who not only has great skills but can communicate well and organise their own time, to work on interesting projects for ethical clients. If this sounds like you then please get in touch, there is more information below but we\’re flexible on the details, let us know what you\’re passionate about doing.

Your time will be split between leading the development team and hands-on back-end development. You should be equally happy in front of a client as you are a console. We make extensive use of Drupal so you should have experience with building entire sites using Drupal, writing custom modules and ideally be active in the community. Although we\’re looking for a back-end developer, you\’ll also need to be comfortable with writing accessible, standards compliant XHTML and CSS and have a working knowledge of javascript; we like the jquery framework.

We use an agile project management process so it would help if you\’ve had experience with SCRUM or similar methodologies before, though not essential. Having an understanding of the LAMP stack, security issues and web standards are however vital! Other desirable skills would include basic linux server administration, accessibility best practices, continuous integration, and experience with building social networks or community sites.

Most importantly you should have a passion for what you do. We are a friendly team who aim to create a positive working environment where everyone plays an important role and is an expert in their field. We\’re also open to forming partnerships between members of the team so if you\’ve got an idea you\’d like to develop then bring it along!

Please just drop me an email with some information about what you\’re looking for, your past experience and some links to previous work at: john@brightlemon.com
