Title: Accident Management Senior Claims Handler
Reports to: Michelle Souter.
Based at: Bridge Street Mills, Macclesfield, SK11 6QA
Job purpose:
Key Role – To handle all claims on a full accident management basis as they filter through from day to day. To assist with diminution claims for a subsidiary company (Autosure – no experience needed for this).
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
To work as directed and with own initiative to assist with the smooth running of the claims function. Tasks include those listed below and similar.
1. Load new claims (approx 3 per day)
2. Monitor and handle existing claims / ULR Recovery
3. Build relationships with clients i.e. brokers and public
4. Diary management (between 15 and 35 diaries per day)
5. Post / cheques, TPI liability letters etc
6. Emails
7. Faxes
8. Incoming calls from a number of different sources (approx 15 per day)
9. Reporting
10. Point of contact for claims handlers in managers absence (queries etc)
The individual must have excellent letter writing skills and able to think on their feet. This senior person will stand in for the manager in her absence and assist with any queries. There may be some reports to run and format (training will be given if necessary)
