Sales Executive / Account Manager
Job Description:
Salary Scale – £20,000 plus commission – OTE £40,000
We are looking to recruit a passionate, motivated & experienced sales executive to help increase revenue and generate sales of exhibition stand space and sponsorship for an annual exhibition with long term prospects to work within expanding exhibition portfolio.
It is crucial that this candidate has the confidence to make high quality and quantity sales calls on a daily basis. It is a fast paced environment that is constantly evolving and requires an individual who enjoys being a part of a team and who is a self starter.
The ideal candidate for this position will need to be driven and resilient with a desire to reach and surpass targets. The sales executive will have a proven track record of exceeding targets along with a tenacious “can do” approach and the ability to independently source & close new business by building rapport with potential and existing clients. Previous experience with trade shows and exhibition sales would be advantageous but this is not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Tele-Sales to existing and prospective exhibitors to meet sales revenue and call rate targets.
- Building up a rapport with current/lapsed clients and managing accounts where appropriate.
- Keeping database up to date with contact details and sales development status.
- Researching and identifying new prospects and show enhancing business
- Providing realistic sales forecasts and updates on progressing sales
- Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new growth areas for sales.
- Providing significant input into the sales and marketing plans and to helping to create the event strategy.
- Working on site during the build up, open period and breakdown of all the shows.
- Ensuring that all sales administration is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

Key skills required:
- Proven sales success an absolute must with the ability to close sales by telephone and face-to-face

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of people on all levels: in person, on the phone and in writing.
- Target orientated and highly self-motivated.
- Objection handling/negotiation
- Ability to learn quickly
- Team player.
- Floor plan management.
- Ability to problem solve: comes up with solutions rather than problems
- Methodical approach to work.
- Excellent administration and organisational skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Exhibition, event or hospitality experience hugely desirable but not essential,
- Familiarity with marketing an advantage.
- Fluent English (oral and written), additional European languages very desirable.
