Regional Co-ordinator
Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE
To be responsible for the co-ordination and internal verification of a team of NVQ assessors who deliver Health and social care and possibly other NVQ awards including skills for life delivery.
To assist with monthly monitoring and outcomes for all assessors.
KEY TASKS
1. To plan and organise the supporting and developing of assessors
2. To report regularly to the Head of Centre on regional activity
3. Co-ordinate, enrolment, induction and achievement of NVQ candidates with Learner support
4. Co-ordinate the internal verification process for a team of assessors delivering NVQ qualifications
5. Maintain awarding body requirements (OCR) for provision of National Vocational Qualifications, in line with the QCA Code of Practice and Jab Guide.
6. Liaise with the External Verifier as appropriate and make available and present portfolios for external verification
7. Ensure IV’s undertake their 1:1 Reviews with Assessors in the Regions and report to you monthly at their 1:1 meetings with you. Revise CPD and training needs analysis for your team and compliance and attendance to Standardisation Meetings and mandatory training days.
8. To develop and contribute to the underpinning knowledge delivery for learners.
9. To manage learners and track their performance with assessors on a monthly basis in accordance with the Learners Journey strategy.
10. Monitor the learners journey on PDM and Assessor reviews and interaction
11. Attend meetings as required of the awarding body.
12. Conduct at least two observations a year of the assessor with their learner in the workplace and provide written evidence and feedback as required in line with the Centre’s Observation Strategy.
13. Maintain records as required by awarding bodies, LSC, Careconnect Learning and partner organisations. Ensure all documentation is completed in line with contractual guidance, procedures and CCL quality standards.
14. Coach and mentor I.V’s and Assessors in their role
15. Work towards OFSTED quality requirements, achieving good standards, a learner centred approach.
16. Present portfolios for verification in accordance with centre requirements, contributing to and attending IV meetings and EV visits.
17. Maintain a flexible, employer-led ethos to delivery, utilisation training materials in accordance with individual and business need as per standardised resources on PDM and Redspace.
18. Work closely with the Learner Support Team to communicate work based issues regularly i.e. cause for concerns, updates on learner progress and assessor learner ratios
19. Ensure confidentiality at all times
20. To uphold and promote CCL policies and procedures, promoting in particular, equal opportunities, Safeguarding, health and safety, including the LSC’s safe learner policy and confidentiality.
21. Provide a monthly report to the Centre Manager on all Regional Activity.
22. Attend Senior Ops Meetings and attend Head Office upon request.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Qualifications: D32, 33 or A1 D34/V1
• Ability to work to deadlines and targets
• Ability to prioritise own workload
• Relevant experience of NVQ delivery
• Relevant and recent industry knowledge
• Experience of NVQ process and awarding body procedures
• Car owner/driver
• Computer Literate
