We are looking for Quantitative Commodity Analyst to join our specialized team in a global professional services firm.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Analysing supply, demand and other risk factors affecting various commodity markets including Wheat, Corn, Cocoa, Soybeans, Palm Oil and Natural Gas.

- Collect, organise and update internal databases with data from various statistical agencies and Bloomberg.

- Identify trends, model and forecast prices using various statistical techniques includes econometrics and Monte Carlo simulations.

- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management discussing outcomes of studies and proposing strategies for hedging risk.

Skill Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in a Quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Statistics).

- 1-2 Years of work experience in commodity markets, preferably having worked within soft commodities (Wheat, Cocoa, Corn etc.) with some knowledge of energy markets.

- In depth knowledge of workings of the various agricultural commodity markets as well as the various supply, demand, weather and political factors that affect them.

- Experience with building econometric models, price forecasting and performing Monte Carlo simulations.

- Working knowledge of hedging and related strategies.

- Proficient with using Excel, Matlab, Eviews and any other statistical packages.

- Good VBA programming skills.

- Good communication and presentation skills.
