Founded by Gerald Goldstein (Physics PhD) and Itamar Lesuisse (ex-Amazon) with top-tier VC backing. Kukunu is putting together passionate traveller and great technology to revolutionize travel. * Responsibilities *

You’ll work alongside our CTO to further develop our existing platform:

You’ll own large projects, contribute to product ideas and turn them into features users love

You’ll develop the supporting infrastructure, define top-level system architecture and database-level design

Kukunu is a consumer-facing service that requires fast development and short release cycles, and the ability to quickly iterate based on user feedback and behaviour. While your focus will be on the back-end, flexibility to work on some front-end elements is required.

* Requirements *

Track record of producing high-quality web applications throughout the full product life cycle:

Solid object-oriented design, programming, and debugging skills

Excellent PHP skills including MVC architecture (Zend framework is a plus)

A strong understanding of SQL and database design

Plenty of experience integrating web services

Good knowledge of xHTML, CSS

Ability to code efficient Javascript jQuery & AJAX

Focus on customer needs and desire to build technology solutions to address them

Person who thrives in a fast paced, high energy and relatively unstructured environment

A strong academic record and a graduate in a science or technology subject. Post-graduate is a plus

Finally, you are fun to work with and you are ready to spend long hours in front of your computer and at the pub.
