Purpose of the Post

This position requires wide-ranging skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment. The candidate will require strong administrative, IT, organisational and communication skills and a good problem solving and ‘can-do’ attitude. Must have good written and verbal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth running of Islam Channel; all HR, Health and Safety and Administrative matters. These will include recruitment, disciplinary action, monitoring of absences and holidays, maintaining personnel files, alarms and fire systems and the general overseeing of all staff including reception, head office, studio and newsroom. You must be able to work well under fast and sometimes demanding conditions and be able to make fast sound decisions as and when required.
