Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

We currently have a role available for a Band 7 Return to Work/ Vocational Rehab Occupational Therapist for a permanent role in a hospital in Slough. It is a senior role and applicants will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of the current trends in Vocational Rehabilitation, whilst retaining the core Occupational Therapy skills. A background in complex rehabilitation or case management is desirable. The details we have for this role are as follows:Job Role• To manage and lead the Vocational Rehabilitation service delivered by Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospitals Trust. • To take responsibility for and to develop the return to work service based at Wexham Park Hospital.• To provide clinical input assessing and treating patients with a wide range of conditions, who have complex and/or chronic presentation, and to plan occupational therapy programmes, discharge and management plans. To maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.• To organise own caseload and workload management and that of the technical staff within the clinical environment.• To contribute to the occupational therapy service, and to provide a specialised resource for other rehabilitation staff.Job Summary• To undertake a clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using expert knowledge and skills from theoretical and practical experience.
