Job Purpose Summary:
To transform a team of .net Winforms developers, increasing skill level, introducing and refining process.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Deliver client projects to a high standard of usability and stability.
Mentor the team in OO concepts, and lead by example to increase their skill-set.
Show leadership in technical and process matters.
Work with Head of Development to ensure that processes follow a holistic Development Lifecycle.
Lead the extension and feedback of our CRM application EpiCentre.
Lead the design and build of tools to increase developer productivity. Eg Guidance Automation Toolkit.
Knowledge and Skills required:
Mid-large company background.
Experience in leading a team.
Experience of bringing order from chaos.
Excellent communication skills, with a desire to be client-facing when required.
Deep understanding of the Microsoft development stack (.net, WCF, IIS, SQL Server)
Knowledge of code-generation/developer productivity tools beneficial.
Exposure of advanced versioning and deployment strategies.
