The candidate will join an existing team providing IT support for our clients’ computer networks. Customer satisfaction through prompt and courteous service is the key to being successful in this role.
Skills Required
The candidate must be able to demonstrate in depth understanding of PC hardware and software as well as a basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, POP3, SMTP, DNS, DHCP and the Internet).
A good working knowledge of the variety of Microsoft Windows operating systems and popular applications is necessary. The role will require candidates provide first-level support to end-users and a degree of patience is important.
Communication & personal presentation are essential attributes for successful candidate. The candidate is expected to demonstrate flexibility, discipline, thoroughness and patience.
Finally the candidate must be able to receive instructions from managers and liaise with customers, then provide accurate feedback to the managers.
Previous Experience
Previous experience with an IT support company will be advantageous, though PC knowledge based on experience with own PC will suffice.
Pay
This is a part-time job paid at the rate of £8-£10 per hours, depending on applicant’s skills.
