Graduate Design and Development Engineer
Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will be part of a small team of electronic and software engineers. You will be involved in the design and development, proof and production testing of RF circuits and components, digital signal processing circuits and firmware.
Relevant Experience:
In order to be successful in the role, the candidate will have worked on the design of RF circuits for multiple applications. These could include telephony, wireless telemetry or radar; or any application where radio waves are the medium.
The role involves the design of RF amplifiers, RF solid state switches, couplers, filters and other special components for RF signal distribution and switching.
The company also gets involved in antenna design, power amplifiers and radio direction finding.
Other relevant experience with analogue designs (audio/base band) and digital electronic design would be useful.
Design package experience with either Eagle, Proteus CAD.
You will need to have excellent Microcontroller programming in C language.
IT literacy in Microsoft packages is highly desirable.
In times of stress, the candidate will be expected to assist in the manufacturing assembly and test of small production runs (usually up to 10 assemblies) which are a feature of the company’s output.
Qualifications:
The candidate will possess a first degree in electronics, physics, mathematics or related science subject and possibly a post graduate qualification.
