Electrical Maintenance Engineer,
Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining production equipment and fixing in the event of breakdowns
To ensure that planned maintenance schedules are met and completed
Ensure all work is completed in a speedy and efficient manner with costs
To keep breakdown times to a minimum and ensure tasks are completed by priority
Where necessary, ensure that all legal documentation for the plant and its’ equipment is maintained and kept up to date.
Provide input and recommendations for improvements with regard to the maintenance activities within the organisation.
Initiate purchase order requisitions for materials and parts and follow up deliveries to
fulfil job priorities.
Keeps informed with regard to legal requirements related to the use, the installation
and maintenance of plant equipment.
Takes an active role in the Health, Safety and Environmental issues within the business.
Provide regular feedback and recommendations to improve the operability of plant
machinery and equipment and reduce maintenance costs.
Candidate Requirements:
Electrical Apprenticeship, HNC or higher qualification
17th Edition electrical regulations
Fully conversent in being able to program and fault find PLCs.
Familiar with inverters.
Able to wire panels from a drawing and fault find. Able to interrogate and draw up electrical circuits and components.
A level of competancy in solving mechanical issues would also be advantagous.
