Designer, artist, illustrator
Job Description:
To whom it may concern,
I am looking for employment that utilises my skills. I am 38 years of age. My qualifications include B.A (Hons) Fine Art degree (1993), M.A Illustration (2004), and 5 GCSE’s, including French and English. I consider myself to be creative, and very imaginative, with excellent drawing, draughtsmanship and painting skills, and consider my English – spoken and written to be very good. I am also enthusiastic, with a good sense of humour.
Past work has included design attendant on Brookside/Mersey T.V, Scenic and props assistant at Theatr Clwyd and The Swan theatre in Worcester, Information Assistant at The Tate Gallery, and Rep for an estate agents. Freelance work has included large mural commissions for North West Water, Glaxo, and numerous private homes, illustrations for the Guardian and for property developers, and sales of paintings in the UK and overseas. I have also designed leaflets/brochures using Photoshop, and have organised and run art workshops on a number of occasions.
The kind of work I am looking for is perhaps as a trainee graphic designer, or within animation (I have some experience of storyboarding, and my own illustrations lend themselves well to animation), or maybe in a totally different area that requires a certain way of thinking, or imagination or approach, or that involves the creation of drawn/ designed images.
I have also been a member of West Kirby Aikido club for fifteen years, and consider my health and fitness to be good. I also enjoy reading.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Robert D Davies.
