<p>We are looking to hire a bright and resourceful PR Researcher with Data Skills. You will be joining our existing creative team which comprises of 4 people; 2 designers, 1 PR Consultant and 1 Project Manager. You will play an important role at Distilled, sourcing and analysing interesting and reliable data. The ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, will love all things data and will be superb at cleaning and refining datasets. You will need to communicate your findings to other team members to help inform and create creative content from your work. This includes data visualisations, interactive infographics and newsworthy stories. You will have a nose for a great story and the determination to prove it through your data research and analyses. A core aspect of your job will be highlighting key facts quickly and communicating why they are significant to the team.</p>
<p>You must:</p>
<p>Be able to research interesting and reliable data using online and other resources<br />
<br />Be able to determine what sources of data will be considered valid to the media<br />
<br />Have strong data entry and analytical skills<br />
<br />Be strong at idea generation (specifically showing data in new and interesting ways)<br />
<br />Be meticulous with tasks<br />
<br />Have a flexible and efficient approach to time management<br />
<br />Can use tools (such as Excel) to automate processes<br />
<br />Be a real team player with strong communication skills<br />
<br />Be actively interested in the news and current events</p>
<p>It would be great if you:</p>
<p>Have an interest in journalism or PR/marketing (including any training/experience in these fields)<br />
<br />Have experience/ knowledge of market research techniques<br />
<br />Can find and process datasets which produce PR angles<br />
<br />Knowledge/experience of web social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) but this is not essential<br />
<br />Have a creative approach and can make data dance!</p>

<p>Part-time Centre Assistant required.  The position incorporates working in all areas of Hospitality team, including assisting in the food preparation and service of meals for up to 100 residential visitors.  Cleaning and housekeeping ensuring all Quality Standards are met;<br />
<br />Working some evening shifts as part of the &#8216;duty system&#8217;.<br />
<br />This is an environmental centre and all staff must contribute to this ethos.<br />

<p>Walkabout Foundation is a fast growing international charity that focuses on funding research to find a cure for paralysis and donating wheelchairs to people in need around the world. Its huge success is partly due to its celebrity endorsements by individuals such as President Bill Clinton, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, actors Martin Sheen, Emilio Estevez, Sean Penn, and Shakira among many others.</p>
<p>Walkabout Foundation is currently looking for an Executive Assistant to work alongside the Executive Director in London. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for certain clerical and logistical functions within the London headquarters. The Assistant shares in the team responsibility ensuring that all elements of the foundation are managed professionally and efficiently.</p>
<p>Responsibilities include:<br />
<br />-Supporting the Executive Director with meetings and upcoming projects<br />
<br />-Responsible for all incoming electronic mail and correspondence to the foundation<br />
<br />-Responsible for donor contact and communication<br />
<br />-Assisting with creation and execution of different charitable campaigns<br />
<br />-Maintaining donation book-keeping and donor database<br />
<br />-Monitoring all Walkabout Foundation internal and external communication platforms, including website, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google alerts etc.<br />
<br /> -Researching potential corporate partnerships and tailoring proposals<br />
<br />-Assisting with coordination of wheelchair distribution logistics<br />
<br />-Serving as the office liaison on archiving and other filing matters</p>
<p>Ideal candidate:<br />
<br />-Is proactive, takes the initiative, and drives for results<br />
<br />-Is very organized and can multi-task<br />
<br />-Has a sense of urgency and responsibility<br />
<br />-Can think outside the box and be creative<br />
<br />-Has an ability to learn quickly<br />
<br />-Has an understanding of charity work and Corporate Social Responsibility<br />
<br />-Can work with Power Point and Excel (and preferably Photoshop)</p>
<p>Other information:<br />
<br />-Salary: up to £30,000, commensurate with experience<br />
<br />-Location: Central London<br />
<br />-Start Date: January 2012</p>
<p>Walkabout Foundation was started by former Goldman Sachs banker, Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, and her brother Luis who is paralyzed from the chest down after sustaining a spinal cord injury in a car accident. Together the siblings launched the foundation with an 870 kilometer trek across Spain along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and Luis became the first person in the history of Spain to cross the entire country using just the strength of his two arms. Since inception, Walkabout Foundation has organized 3 such &#8220;walkabouts&#8221; in different places around the world and use the funds raised ($1 million in 2 years) to donate and distribute over 1,500 RoughRider wheelchairs to countries like Haiti, Dominican Republic, Chile, Rwanda and soon Malawi, Ghana, Kenya, and Argentina. </p>

Skills and requirements:</p>
<p>1.    Fluent English and French speaker, with preferably a scandinavian language, Chinese or any other languages (relevant in business)</p>
<p>2.    Strong communication skills (written and verbal)</p>
<p>3.    Strong interpersonal skills – approachable manner, confident</p>
<p>4.    Good organisational skills (planning/time management)</p>
<p>5.    Experience co-ordinating events</p>
<p>6.    Excellent computer literacy skills – grasp of basic graphic design using programmes such as word/pages/photoshop)</p>
<p>7.    Basic grasp of finance (understanding the jargon)</p>
<p>8.	Confidence and ability to take initiative and pioneer projects, as well as form part of a small team</p>
<p>Salary £20,000 per annum pro rata.<br />
