<br />• Research and explore alternative methods of raising finance in order to support the future growth strategy of the organisation both in the UK and abroad. Develop and maintain relationships with finance houses and banks in order meet funding requirements to support future expansion.<br />
<br />• Support the management team by providing weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial KPIs including feedback and recommendations on operational, marketing and merchandising issues. Maintain and develop the models used to provide this information. Recommending cost cutting or changes where necessary.<br />
<br />• Work with the operations, buying, merchandising and marketing teams to prepare budgets and KPIs and set criteria for quarterly performance reviews.<br />
<br />• Feasibility analysis and budget management for new projects and monitoring project development providing feedback and updates when necessary.<br />
<br />• Provide financial PR internally and externally on progress and development of JOY..<br />
<br />• Assist the chief executive with ad-hoc analysis and various projects within the company. </p>

<p>Context and Purpose:</p>
<p>An opportunity has arisen for an experienced VAT Compliance Analyst in a major financial services company based in Brighton. Providing support to the VAT team with regard to the VAT compliance process, project work, ad-hoc queries and cross-border VAT legislation.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities of the VAT Compliance Analyst job will include:</p>
<p>* Prepare and review VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales Lists for international<br />
<br />   clients facing VAT compliance obligations all over Europe<br />
<br />* Co-ordinate the consolidation of information for the returns ensuring that correct<br />
<br />   and accurate data is collated for submission to the relevant Tax Authorities.<br />
<br />* Ensure deadlines are met<br />
<br />* Gather VAT related information from various sources, answer queries and provide<br />
<br />   VAT guidance for both the clients and the business<br />
<br />* Liaise with third party information providers such as VAT agents and Tax<br />

<p>Job description<br />
<br />This role is varied and all-encompassing in terms of work, making it central to the success of MAGIC. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Practice manager to deliver a professional and stress free service to a wide client base.</p>
<p>You will be responsible for preparing and working on customer’s annual statutory accounts, monthly management reports, vat, corporation and personal tax returns as well as providing on-going business support to customers.<br />
<br />With a strong emphasis on providing timely and proactive accountancy and taxation services in a friendly and approachable manner, you must be able to carry out tasks as listed below with confidence and professionalism.</p>
<p>Key Activities<br />
<br />Answering customers accounting and tax questions<br />
<br />Processing clients day to day accounts<br />
<br />Preparing and finalising accounts to statutory level<br />
<br />Preparation of VAT, Corporation and Personal Tax Returns<br />
<br />Preparation of Monthly management reports for clients<br />
<br />Advise clients on basic tax efficiency measures<br />
<br />Develop long lasting and personable client relationships<br />
<br />Deal with Inland revenue, Customs &amp; Excise and Companies House queries<br />
<br />Keep up to date with law and accounting regulation changes relevant to the position<br />
<br />Liaising with other Departments and Business functions within the MAGIC Group<br />
<br />Delegating and supervising more junior members of the team<br />
<br />Identify and develop opportunities to provide additional services and revenue from existing and new client base</p>
<p>The Candidate<br />
<br />AAT Qualified<br />
<br />Experience of working within a similar accounting environment (minimum 2-3 years)<br />
<br />Practical experience in preparing accounts, personal and corporation tax returns<br />
<br />Possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills as the role involves dealing with clients on a regular basis over the phone, via email and sometime face to face<br />
<br />Working to strict deadlines you will have excellent organisation and prioritisation skills<br />
<br />Efficient and accurate individual &#8211; delivering work fast but accurately<br />

<p>-	Finance and Banks:</p>
<p>Operate bank accounts (group of companies) including:</p>
<p>Monitor cash flow; ensure that all finance is properly administered.</p>
<p>Control of receipt of all payments from tenants.</p>
<p>-	Deposits:</p>
<p>Responsible for the security, payments and organization of all Deposits :-</p>
<p>Responsible for the monitoring and payments of all taxes (i.e. Income tax, Corporate tax and VAT for all companies).</p>
<p>- Corporate Costs:</p>
<p>Responsible for the monitoring of all personal and corporate expenses.</p>
<p>Reporting</p>

<p>Liaising with accountants, auditors to ensure that monthly/quarterly/annual reports are made correct and it time.</p>
<p>Reporting all income and debt to management.</p>
<p>To carry out of necessary calculations, budgets of the new projects etc. upon management’s request.</p>
<p>Documentation :</p>
<p>Responsible for keeping and inspecting all invoices, receipts, credit notes, bank statements, agreements, services contracts, registration documents and other corporate documents.</p>
<p>Responsible for drafting all invoices.</p>
